Olena Bilinska

LMT / NCTMB

Olena Bilinska grew up in Lviv City, Ukraine, and moved to Italy in 2001. During this time, Olena studied Italian at a local school while working as a caregiver for an elderly man who had been recovering from heart surgery. Her client’s cardiologist prescribed massage therapy as part of his recovery. Olena frequently observed the massage therapist as he worked on her client. This led to Olena pursuing a career in massage therapy.

In 2003, Olena enrolled in the “Centro RAL” school of aesthetics in Naples, Italy. There she studied cosmetology as well as massage therapy. Her areas of focus were: Basic technique, deep tissue massage and Swedish massage. In addition, Olena was certified in hot stone, myofascial release massage, lymph drainage and pregnancy massage therapy. After graduation, Olena worked at the “Beauty Salon Naturelle” in Naples from 2005-2008 where she provided anti-cellulitis massages and full body treatments for the clients.

In 2010, Olena enrolled in the Solex Medical Academy for Medical Massage therapy program and graduated in 2011. At Solex, Olena studied different techniques in Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myo-facial release, sports massage, chair massage and pregnancy massage, and shortly after obtained her Illinois license in Massage Therapy (LMT).

Then, from May 2013 - November 2014, she began working at the upscale, 5-star Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa in Deerfield, Illinois as a massage therapist. Working at this salon helped Olena elevate her level of professionalism and communicate in a manner that allowed her to zero-in on the needs of her clients in order to provide them with targeted therapy.

Olena moved to Lifetime Fitness in 2015 where she worked as a massage therapist. She was excited for the opportunity to work there since the environment was aligned with her healthy lifestyle. She was able to treat all types of athletes and develop personalized treatments for specific sports-related massage therapies. Olena was a 4-time artistry award recipient which is a significant achievement as it is given only to those employees who rank in the top 5% of all of the Lifetime Fitness massage therapists nationally in service revenue and guest retention. In addition, in 2019, Olena obtained her certification in the very powerful method of Cupping Therapy.

In 2020, Olena decided to branch out on her own with her new business, Flow In Balance, Massage Therapy + Bodywork. Olena’s philosophy is to achieve a holistic approach to massage therapy; that is, to assist her clients in achieving homeostasis. Simply stated, homeostasis is the achievement of steady internal physical and chemical conditions. Olena’s technique is designed to achieve physical, mental, spiritual and emotional balance. Therefore, when a person receives massage therapy from Olena, a natural flow of energy is generated which promotes this state of homeostasis. So, it is not just about any one aspect of health but all that healthy energy encompasses - that is: Flow in Balance!
